Is your LinkedIn profile complete? There are a few things you can do to improve it and get the best results from your account (via PR Daily).
Include a professional photo. Make sure that it represents you within the industry you work in.
Customize your public profile URL. If your name is still available, use that. If it’s not available, use a variation on your name that you will be able to use for years to come.
Add links to articles, blog posts, videos or work samples to your profile. This is a great way to ensure that your work and expertise is represented on the profile. I’d include things like Slideshare decks and even photos or screen shots of visual work you’ve done.
Update your “skills and endorsements” page. Make sure you do this frequently.
Update your status at least once a week and write via LinkedIn Publisher. This is one I have to do myself, using LinkedIn Publisher to add articles.
Their list is longer, you may want to check it out. Do you have any tips to add?
