People now spend more time using apps than watching TV

Added: October 12, 2015

Today’s recommended reading is an article from Mashable: People now spend more time using apps than watching TV. I’m guessing that this isn’t really news to most of us, but it’s still interesting to see the data behind how much time we’re actually spending on each:

In 2015, U.S. consumers spent 198 minutes in mobile apps per day compared to 168 minutes watching TV.

Wow. Just wow.

Do you consider yourself part of the “norm” in this? Do you spend more time or less on TV? on apps? I think I spend less, but I may be self-deluded.
